Senior Linux System Administrator
Location: Chantilly, VA, Centennial, CO, or Tucson, AZ
Required Clearance: Top Secret/SCI U.S. Citizenship Mandatory: Due to our US federal government contract, candidates for this position are required to be a US Citizen and will be subject to a background investigation. Job Responsibilities: Provide technical support by troubleshooting issues and documenting solutions.
Plan system upgrades, capacity improvements, and technological advancements proactively.
Conduct monthly operations cycles, including patching, monitoring, maintenance, and tuning, utilizing automation where feasible.
Perform, optimize, and automate installations of OS, software, and services.
Develop scalable systems and architectures, encompassing hybrid cloud and cloud-ready applications.
Ensure system integrity, configure components, and implement OS enhancements for enhanced reliability and performance.
Establish and maintain operational, configuration, and standard operating procedures.
Required Skills: Hands-on experience with Linux systems, covering deployment, service migration, and lifecycle management.
Proficiency in using configuration tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
Familiarity with storage platforms like SAN, NAS, and direct attached storage.
Experience in managing enterprise services like GitLab or Harbor.
Capability to manage and resolve vendor OS and software patches and address vulnerability notices.
Possession of CompTIA Security+ certification or an equivalent DoD 8570 Level II certification.
