Senior Java/Angular Developer
Salt Lake City, UT
Long-Term Contract: $55-$80 per hour
Our client is in search of a Senior Java/Angular Developer to join their team on a long-term contract. This role involves enhancing and maintaining both the external public website and internal administrative support system. You will collaborate with existing team members including a consultant developer, project manager, and analyst. Our client's Legacy system has been operational for four years and requires ongoing enhancements and maintenance through agile sprint planning. The system is slated for replacement within the next three to four years, during which time the Legacy team will ensure the system's functionality meets stakeholder needs. The ideal candidate will be driven to revitalize a legacy system by introducing upgrades, enhancements, and overall improved functionality.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in modern web development technologies, including Java Web APIs (Spring MVC, Spring Security, JPA), AngularJS for user interfaces, relational database design with Oracle, and responsive design using Bootstrap 4+.
- Experience with Agile methodologies like SCRUM, utilizing Atlassian tools (Jira/Confluence), sprint planning, retrospectives, and regular stand-up meetings.
- Demonstrated experience in new and existing project development within a team setting.
- Strong familiarity with GitHub and GitFlow Pull Request model.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Minimum of 4 years of Information Technology experience.
Nice to Have: - Familiarity with GitHub Actions and AWS services (ECR, ECS, S3, ALB) for web applications.
- Experience in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Exposure to the Quartz job scheduling system
