Job Summary:




Top design build firm on the Peninsula is seeking a talented interior design professional to create magic for a discerning clientele. This person will represent a crucial component to our process. An Interior Designer is responsible for guiding clients through all interior design decisions and completing all design decisions prior to construction. A successful Interior Designer will maintain a happy, healthy client relationship and have a completed interior design plan set for the Production Department.




Duties/Responsibilities:



  • Works with clients to determine initial goals and requirements for the space to be designed.

  • Collaborates and coordinates with architects, engineers, trade partners, and builders to further understand how interior space should function, appear, and be furnished.

  • Prepares sketches or other visual aids to demonstrate preliminary designs to clients.

  • Consults with clients to select materials, furnishings, and dcor.

  • Determines timelines and project costs and presents accurate estimates to clients.

  • Orders or obtains necessary materials, adhering to project and budget specifications.

  • Oversees the installation of materials, furniture, and other design elements.

  • Ensures client satisfaction by visiting the project on completion with the client; resolves any complaints or concerns.

  • Maintains current knowledge of trends and materials, techniques, and other developments in interior design.

  • Make all selections and input into Fohlio.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Required Skills/Abilities:


o Comfortable working with high-net-worth clients.


o Revit is required, if training needed will be provided by company


o Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.


o Ability to apply a sense of style to create aesthetically pleasing interiors.


o Strong visual design skills including proportion and aesthetics.


o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


o Ability to use REVIT (or willing to learn)/ Auto-CAD software.


o Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.


o Deep understanding of building codes and inspection regulations related to interiors.


Education and Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field required.

  • At least 7 years of experience required.


Physical Requirements:



  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.



  • Must be able to distinguish between colors.

  • Must be able to ascend and descend stairs.
