JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company. The Senior Infrastructure Architect is responsible for the solution design, implementation and operation support of JAS' global infrastructure services. This position serves as the technical lead for projects involving complex planning for all JAS Worldwide network infrastructure including detailed design creation, proposals, analysis, project preparation, implementation, and support. The role is responsible for timely interaction with customers of the platform, peer technologists and senior management.

The ideal candidate has experience in large enterprise Data Center Networking, routing, switching, wireless access, software define WAN (SD-WAN) firewall controls, load balancing, security infrastructure, remote access connectivity solutions (Cisco AnyConnect, Palo Alto Prisma Access SASE ), Network Segmentation, and DHCP/DNS/IPAM.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•   Design large scale enterprise WAN, SD-WAN, LAN, WLAN including switches, firewalls, and other network related hardware.
•   Design and Implement Data Center technologies like VXLAN, SDDI
•   Design and continuously improve network monitoring and observability capabilities.
•   Design and management of core services such as DHCP, DNS, IP address Management and Load Balancing
•   Define requirements in support of budget plans and make recommendations for ways to improve performance, reduce costs, and meet business requirements.
•   Defines the architecture and hardware requirements for project proposals.
•   Design, execute, support day to day service requests.
•   Lead large scale network refresh projects as well as divisional expansion projects.
•   Design and Manage Network Capacity and Performance
•   Evaluates and identifies opportunities for network performance and functionality improvement within the enterprise network.
•   Participate in the development efforts to bring automation into the network environment.
•   Responsible for compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
•   Successfully negotiate technical design and deployment strategy with key stakeholder and consumers of the service.
•   Serve as the platform technical subject matter expert and provide consulting support to the business and end-user organizations.
•   Produce and maintain timely, accurate engineering documentation.
•   Partners with JAS' Cybersecurity organization in conducting security and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with corporate security policies and adherence to best practices.
•   Integrates technical expertise with communication, leadership, and business skills in a team environment.
•   Maintain effective communication with all areas within JAS related to project status/updates and other correspondence.
•   Perform special projects as assigned by the Head of Global IT Infrastructure.
•   Adhere to all published organizational, safety policies and procedures as described in the JAS Worldwide employee handbook.

•   Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while adhering to deadlines
•   Demonstrates mastery of the concepts and theory of network security, and possess adept knowledge of data networking, including expertise in switching, routing, directory services, and TCP/IP fundamentals.
•   Demonstrates knowledge of encryption protocols, as well as means for compromising systems based on known vulnerabilities.
•   Demonstrates a strong customer centric approach and excellent communications skills.
•   Responsible for the design of global landscape of the JAS network and security infrastructure.
•   Keeps abreast of industry trends and makes architecture roadmaps and or recommendations based on these trends.
•   Collaborate with the Enterprise Architecture division.
Education and/or Experience
•   Required: bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Telecommunication, or other related field - or combination of experience / education.
•   5-8+ years of Networking experience as an infrastructure or networking architect.
•   5-8+ years network experience with multinational enterprises of 5000+ users including network design.
•   Expertise in designing enterprise scale routing and switching environments, MPLS / VPN, SD-WAN, WLAN, Cisco ISE and/or Identity/Authentication solutions, Network Topologies, Load balancing, and QoS and SDDI.
•   Experience in the technology, supply chain, logistics, or freight forwarding industries a plus.
Language Skills
Bachelor's degree (B.A) in Business Administration, Computer Science from 4-year college or university; 7 to 9 years previous experience in a supervisory role in a related area, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with Windows , VMware, Server Blade Technologies including Cisco UCS, Storage Technologies including Dell XtremIO.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Other Skills
Excellent management skills with demonstrated results. Advanced knowledge of telecommunications and data networks. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to interact and communicate with all levels of an organization. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent and varied projects. Excellent technology skills, including the use project management and database management applications, and Office 365 (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams).
Experience with the following products/environments preferred:
•   Cisco or Ubiquiti Routers and Switches
•   Entra ID authentication
•   Aryaka SDWAN or SDWAN technologies is a plus.
•   Azure or AWS Cloud networking
•   Cisco ASA
•   Palo Alto Firewalls
•   Barracuda load balancers
•   Cisco or Ubiquiti Wireless
•   API Based Automation
•   Service Now or Freshworks ITSM tool.
•   SolarWinds
•   WAN acceleration.
•   Intrusion Prevention, Cloud Security
•   Firewall Monitoring Tools
•   Experience in freight forwarding related industries is a plus.
•   Multilingual a plus
•   MS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Telecommunications. Active Certifications: CISSP, CCNP, CCSE or CCIE.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
A current Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification, or other certification in the areas of responsibility from a Microsoft accredited education institution and/or any of the widely known professional associations in their respective field is a plus.

Physical Demands

Comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities; sound judgment and the ability to work under time pressures. Physical requirements include sight, hearing, sitting for more than four hours a day and other physical requirements required to perform the essential functions of this position. Work Environment

The JAS Forwarding Information Technology department is a twenty-four (24) hour per day, seven (7) day per week, three hundred sixty-five (365) days per year operation. This position will require you to participate in a schedule that requires evening, weekend and holiday working hours as well as emergency and on-call response.
