Senior Infection Preventionist Team Member RN, MT(ASCP), or MPH South Florida Competitive Compensation Superb Benefits Program LOCATION: Florida ABOUT THIS OUTSTANDING CAREER OPPORTUNITYReports to the Director of Infection Prevention Accountable for the clinical, operational, and support activities of the Department of Infection Prevention in accordance with the hospitals mission, values, and strategic planMentors and audits the work of junior Infection PreventionistActs as a subject matter expert on various committees as well as providing consultative services to internal and external customersEnsures multidisciplinary implementation of continuous quality improvement and educational programs which foster actions, beliefs, and responsibility for infection control in each member of the medical center teamConducts ongoing surveillance investigation and follow-up of infections through review of admission diagnoses, microbiology culture results, isolation orders, patient records, consultation requests, and post-discharge surveillanceAnalyzes trends and risk factors, designs and evaluates prevention and control strategiesParticipates in investigation and reporting of hospital infection outbreaksPerforms program assessment and makes recommendations for correction and improvementProvides a safe healthcare environment for patients by using evidence-based guidelines to prevent HAIsDevelops prevention and educational strategies for staff, physicians, and patients Evaluates research and evidence-based practices and incorporate appropriate findings into routine practice, policies, protocols, and educational strategiesIndependently reviews construction plans and designs and with completion of Infection Control Risk Assessment as neededReady to explore this outstanding career opportunity?
