Job DetailsSeeking a Senior Employee Relations Specialist to oversee the development and execution of the employee relations program, interfacing with employees, government agencies, and educational institutions.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on external recruitment efforts, nurturing partnerships with schools, associations, and recruiters.
- Represent the organization at designated job fairs.
- Support career development and internal recruitment initiatives within the organization.
- Assist management in addressing performance issues, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution matters.
- Conduct comprehensive exit interviews, analyze findings, and communicate trends and concerns to senior management.
- Assist in evaluating reports, decisions, and outcomes against established objectives.
- Recommend enhancements to departmental efficiency, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor the performance evaluation program and provide support as needed.
- Manage employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, escalating complex or sensitive matters to appropriate channels.
- Attend and actively participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in HR, talent management, and employment law.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes within the Human Capital Management (HCM) system, ensuring accurate records and report compilation.
- Process unemployment claims and coordinate hearing attendance as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in human resources or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential preferred.
- Proven ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines consistently.
- Thorough understanding of employment laws and regulations.
- Proficient in interpersonal communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
- Ability to maintain integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality in all interactions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new management systems.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation meeting insurance and legal requirements.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
