Position Summary


In the highly regulated charitable gaming space, this role is for an individual contributor with support from the broader Human Resources department. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and willingness to roll up his or her sleeves to get the job done. This role is on-site at our global corporate headquarters in Brooklyn, Ohio. The successful candidate will be a 'road warrior' traveling up to 30% visiting our sites.


Primary Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide support and guidance to leadership team and advise on organizational policy matters and recommend needed changes.
  • In partnership with the HRD, investigate policy violations, investigations, and compliance issues and report out.
  • Provide broad-based Human Resources support to salary and hourly employees covering all shifts.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices. Works with the HRD to review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal, influence, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Possess the ability to have tough conversations that are understood and well-received.
  • Your default state is acting with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and other systems.


Requirements:

Experience and Education

  • BS/BA in human resources or related field required
  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive human resource experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, or retail environment.
  • Must be able to travel up to 30%
  • HRIS experience is a plus, Paylocity experience would be an asset.
