Senior Highway Transportation Project Manager

Location: Columbia or Charleston, SC

Salary: $120,000 - $200,000 (Depending on Experience)

Experience:15+ years of relevant experience

Responsibilities:

Supervise highway analysis, design, report generation, plan production, specification development, cost estimation, etc., catering to state and local clients.

Lead large-scale highway projects encompassing multiple disciplines and subcontractors.

Offer technical expertise on highway design-related issues.

Implement and oversee QA/QC procedures for highway tasks and projects.

Coordinate, prepare, and conduct both internal and external meetings.

Develop budgets, scopes, and schedules for clients and internal use.

Manage invoicing and billing for designated projects.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff.

Fulfill any additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.

Possess over 15 years of experience in performing and managing roadway design.

Maintain a professional engineer (PE) registration in South Carolina.

Demonstrate proficiency in managing and mentoring engineering teams.

Have experience overseeing both conventional and design-build projects.

Proficient in MicroStation, GeoPak, and/or Corridor Modeling.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Display creative and conceptual thinking abilities.

Utilize project contingencies effectively, including budget and schedule management.

Manage teams across multiple offices and subcontractors.

Establish clear communication channels within project teams and with clients.

Familiarity with client requirements, challenges, and areas for growth.

Effective management of change processes.

Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills.

Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
