Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead health and safety initiatives, overseeing OSHA compliance, ISO 45001/OSHA VPP audits, risk assessments, ergonomic evaluations, machine guarding assessments, HazWoper training, and safety programs.
  • Provide expert health and safety services, including developing procedures, conducting training, performing risk assessments, and preparing concise reports.
  • Assist in management activities, such as proposal preparation, project management, staff mentoring, and customer acquisition, maintaining a 90% direct utilization rate.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of company policies for time tracking and expense reporting.
  • Stay abreast of industry knowledge through active participation in professional associations, literature review, networking, and presentations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in health and safety with 10+ years of experience.
  • Professional certifications, such as CSP, CIH, and/or CIT, are preferred.
  • OSHA 501 and or 500 preferred.
  • Extensive experience as a safety trainer
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to continuous self-development in health and safety.
  • Teamwork and collaboration with internal staff.
  • Flexibility to work under tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Effective customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
