In Raytheon's GNC department, we design, integrate, and optimize guidance, navigation, state estimation, and control algorithms to meet mission objectives. We support new business initiatives and help develop & execute technology roadmaps. We are seeking a Senior GNC Engineer to support our Advanced Products & Solutions strategic business unit. This position will help strengthen our Tactical Strike capabilities. This role is required to be onsite in Tucson, AZ but enjoys a 9/80 work schedule (every other Friday off) and a highly collaborative team environment. What You Will Do Lead onsite support during flight test events, then lead GNC Pre-Post flight analysis of those test events Product Owner of scenario development, conops and briefings Product Owner of integration and development and release of Captive Carriage and Free flight test software and tools Lead failures investigation, root cause and corrective action analysis
You will have the opportunity to travel for both missile and captive flight tests, providing real-time and post-mission navigation system performance analysis. (Amount of travel is approximately 10%) Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of guidance, navigation and/or controls related engineering experience
Experience with system performance
Experience with Matlab, C, C , and/or Object Oriented design.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer Experience working on Navigation systems such as GPS and IMU
Experience supporting activities leading to flight test such as IFS and CIL performance analysis, ensuring compliance to performance metrics prior to software release.
Experience supporting missile and captive flight tests, providing real-time and post-mission navigation system performance analysis.
Ability to facilitate and coordinate activities across multiple facilities and locations.
Results-oriented work ethic and able to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and other engineering disciplines.

Onsite : Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
