As a Magid Senior Financial Analyst reporting to the CFO, you will partner with the eCom team to understand requirements, quantify key risks and opportunities, influence decision making, and become Magid's eCom finance expert. Continuing to develop our FP&A function is critical to our mission as this team will act as advisors and consultants across the business, adding a heightened level of financial awareness and building out Magid's financial acumen.

What will you do?

Develop and maintain effective relationships across the business in order to understand the business, the primary drivers, goals, and the needs of partners and customers.
Provide insightful financial analysis, interpretations, predictions, support, tools and recommendations to drive decision making across the business to meet organizational objectives. Clearly communicate results and recommendations to ensure clarity and optimal decision making.
Assist in the generation of financial reporting and analyze key performance indicators and provide insightful recommendations for improvement and optimization, including but not limited to: Sales, Expenses, Margin, Headcount and Capital.
Help lead the organization in the development and coordination of the company's financial planning processes (Budgeting, Forecasting and Long-Range Planning).
Translate the company's short- and long-term objectives into actionable financial plans, identifying related Revenue, Margin, Expense, Capital and Headcount requirements.
Lead and/or participate as an integral member of various ad-hoc project teams to change/improve processes and/or growth or transformation initiatives.
Assist with various aspects of the month-end close process.
Evaluate processes and identify and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and to improve control environment.
Partner with the business and IT teams to design and implement important decision support data/analytics utilizing our business intelligence platform.

What do you need?

Confidence to build credibility quickly with stakeholders within and outside of the Finance function.
Ability to articulate financial concepts to non-finance business partners in a clear and concise manner.
Strong business and financial acumen - Proven ability to think creatively with strong problem-solving skills.
Advanced analytics skills with a high degree of proficiency in data mining and forecasting model development.
Curiosity mindset to challenge the status quo and continue to find new ways to view the business.
Self-starter with the willingness to dig into the data / detail to understand the key drivers and enhance our day to day ways of working.
Experience at providing high-quality analysis to drive decision-making.
Ability to combine both financial and non-financial data to get behind the numbers to identify key drivers of performance and spot trends
Experience with:
analytical tools like Power BI to understand and visualize KPI and business performance
Google Analytics preferred but not required
undertaking detailed and complex analysis using large data sets
Strong visual Excel skills to enable trends generated from complex data sets to be clearly communicated to both finance and non-finance colleagues.
Proven ability of working in a hands-on fast-moving environment to agreed deadlines that may require a rapid turnaround.

The technical stuff:

BA/BS degree Finance/Accounting
Minimum 5-7 years of Finance experience (minimum 3 years of FP&A experience)
