Job Description

As part of the FP&A function within the Centers of Excellence (CoE) finance team, the Senior Financial Analyst will act as a primary finance business partner to our Global Product Development & Innovation (GPD&I) organization. This role will engage in various aspects of financial modeling , business case development , three-year strategic plans , and operational analysis that enable strategic product decisions at both the portfolio and project level. This role will serve as a key source of financial information for senior corporate management.

Position location: This role is designated as a hybrid role which includes working at least 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) in our main office located in Deerfield, IL to foster better collaboration, connection, and innovation.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Partner with GPD&I teams (Product Development Strategy, Innovation) to provide strategic financial support in assessing the most impactful product development opportunities
  • Provide business decision support by modeling various investment scenarios and evaluating the financial impact of each scenario through discounted cash flow analysis
  • Assist with total business case development for each project, including market data & trends analysis, price/volume/mix analysis, revenue and profit walks, BOM validation and other KPIs as deemed necessary
  • Establish a common financial model across all business units to drive efficiencies in the financial modeling processes that are used to make strategic portfolio decisions
  • Drawinsights from actual results and support substance-wise development of long-term start plans, annual budgets, and quarterly forecasts.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports to support executive level presentations


Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or related field
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to communicate financial information in a manner that facilitates strategic decision making


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiarity with Excel, PowerPoint, SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC), Tableau Desktop, Qliksense
  • Experience with product development, new-to-market innovations, make-vs-buy, or cost of complexity analyses
  • Experience in Building Products or CPG or design-to-manufacture environment is preferred
