Job Description

The Senior Financial Analyst within the U.S Sales and Channel Finance team will provide financial planning and reporting support for the Water Innovation s (WINN) U.S Retail and E-Commerce Sales and Marketing teams. The Senior Financial Analyst will be exposed to the financial results of WINN s U.S business units, including actual results, forecast, annual plan and variance analysis. In addition, this role will provide support in preparing financial presentations and other projects requested by senior management and business partners.

Position location: This role is designated as a hybrid role which includes working at least 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) in our main office located in North Olmsted, OH to foster better collaboration, connection, and innovation.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Retail & Ecommerce Sales/Channel responsibilities:

  • Work with Sales, Channel, and Revenue Growth Management to establish trade strategies and budgets
  • Partner with Sales, Channel and Revenue Growth Management to evaluate business proposals (terms, pricing, promotions, new distribution, etc.)
  • Partner with Sales and Channel leadership for omni-channel analysis/initiatives (e.g. Trade/Gross-to-Net efficiencies, SG&A savings)
  • Communicate forecast changes with drivers by Customer/Room to cross-functional business partners (including Sales, Channel, SBU, and Finance leadership)
  • Support annual contract negotiations/renewals to ensure financial viability and oversee accounting, execution, and analysis of annual Customer contracts
  • Provide finance support and guidance to Retail & Ecommerce Sales teams (ad hoc analysis, customer profitability, accounting/forecasting guidance, etc.) and effectively counsel and influence business partners in decision making on investments and spending
  • Provide proactive communication of notable customer/business updates, recaps of quarterly earnings releases, etc.
  • Develop and maintain customer programming database


Financial forecast and close responsibilities:

  • Build annual plan and monthly forecast for Retail & Ecommerce channel Gross to Net Programming (by Customer/Room)
  • Prepare monthly commentary with business drivers from Retail & Ecommerce Gross Sales to Net Sales (including gross-to-net drivers)
  • Review Retail & Ecommerce forecast assumptions, drivers, and variances with Finance leadership, Sales, Channel, and SBU Finance
  • Complete journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations as needed to support Retail & Ecommerce Net Sales and Variable Selling
  • Assist on audit requests


Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor s degree in a quantitative discipline (Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, etc.) is required
  • Minimum of 5 years of related financial analysis experience is required
  • Proven analytical, technical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Excel modeling, data management and translating information into meaningful presentations and insights
  • Demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams and business partners
  • Strong business acumen and thorough understanding of business fundamentals


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master s degree preferred
  • CMA or CPA certifications a plus
  • Knowledge of SAP and BPC
  • Highly motivated self-starter and independent thinker who s had experience working in ambiguous situations
  • Demonstrates thought leadership in areas of responsibility
