Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as financial business partner to operations teams; preparing, summarizing, and communicating reporting on key areas of plant performance, including scrap, inventory cycle counts, hourly direct and hourly indirect labor, freight, and overhead spending
  • Reporting on actual production volumes and actual sales volumes by program/cost center, in support of daily, weekly, and monthly reporting requirements
  • Collaborate with business leaders through DMS annual budget process and support with monthly forecast process
  • Lead process improvement identification and implementation within the department to improve efficiency in supporting business teams
  • Assess inventory accuracy and inventory obsolence risks to strategize with business leaders on available opportunities
  • Support with monthly cost center/departmental reviews by:
  • Comparing to budget/forecast
  • Meeting with various cost center owners and review the results of the operations
  • Investigate any variances
  • Build and summarize reports to analyze labor and overhead budget v. actual (to include volume variance and utilization rates)
  • Support with month end activities including preparation of journal entries, completion of balance sheet reconciliations, and completion of month end variance analysis

Required Skills/Experience

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting required
  • 3-5+ years of analyst experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to use financial knowledge to make sound business decisions in a Lean Environment.
  • Full competency of MS Office Suite
