Senior Field Engineer with Security Clearance

Description SAIC is seeking a Senior Field Engineer to support our NAVWAR customer in Portsmouth, VA. Job Duties: Deploys Servers and Software solutions to maintain customer equipment. Complete patches on server and backbone infrastructure of communication systems. Troubleshoot timing system elements and correct RF connectivity issues. Complete Bit Error Rate Test (BERT) to troubleshoot networks and serial lines. Complete in lab testing of developed solutions for Q/A prior to deployment. Conducts technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations. Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications. Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications. Acts as local on-site representative to customer organization. Participates in site system integrations. Updates system and process documentation as needed. Qualifications Qualifications: Bachelors plus five 5 years or more experience OR T echnical Training in Electronics, Computers, or Networking or successful completion of U.S. Navy electronics "C" school and eight 8 years or more experience. Experience in C4I Systems environments to include: systems requirements, operational requirements, test and evaluation. Experience building and installing infrastructure. Must be able to obtain a CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CASP certification within 6 months of hire. Must have an active Secret security clearance to start and able to obtain a Top Secret clearance. Must be able to obtain U.S. Passport. Up to 25% CONUS/OCONUS travel required. SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
