Senior Engineering Technician with Security Clearance

Senior Engineering Technician Taunton, MA Contract Position This position is supporting the next generation in developing mission critical systems for our national defense. You would be a part of creating the most effective and state of the art technologies for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance supporting the Army, Navy, Air Force, Special Forces, and other Federal Government agencies working with our military. If you are interested in meaningful work on the newest innovations in defense, we invite you to join our team. Responsibilities: Support engineering activities such as:
design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, laser/light transmission devices or specialized test equipment May provide direction to other employees with similar duties Perform a variety of equipment/process operations involving an application or technical skills in a specific area (electrical, software, manufacturing, optical, etc.) Perform research and engineering laboratory functions that may include but not be limited to: Layout, build, test, troubleshoot, repaire and modification or electronic or electro- mechanical devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions Construct, modify, debug, test and adjust a variety of tools and equipment given appropriate drawings, parts and instructions Implement basic practical solutions for process improvement
Conduct and document experiments under guidance of senior technician Construct basic tooling and fixtures to accomplish unique tasks Organize data to identify cause/effect relationships and recommends resolution/process improvement Perform routine/basic preventative maintenance tasks Work from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions Operate related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format Perform calibration and alignment checks; make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed Work under general supervision Qualifications: Associate's Degree in related discpline or equivalent is required combined with 1 + year of relevant work experience.
