Senior Electronic Security Technician Atlanta, GA

Dictated pay rate is 22.42/Davis Bacon - Fringe is $5.42 - Total $27.84

What to expect: As an Electronic Technician for this critical program, candidates will be expected to perform a variety of in-depth technical functions required in the installation, maintenance and repair of security equipment and systems. This position is offering the opportunity for a flexible schedule up to 39 hours per week in the Atlanta, GA area. All candidates must be willing and able to travel as job requires, travel can be expected most of the time.

The Electronic Technicians will be involved in troubleshooting, replacing components and wiring circuits; repairing electronic equipment; and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, flukes and telecommunication (fiber or network cable) testing and certification equipment.

The work requires knowledge of basic and advanced electrical and electronic principles as they pertain to electronic security systems and equipment installed at facilities.

Additionally, candidates must have the ability to:

Understand and follow technical guidance such as circuitry and layouts where available.

Ability to locate, repair or replace equipment as required

Troubleshoot complex security systems, hardware and software

Independently assess and resolve security system problems.

Independently install access control end electronic security systems

Ability to configure computers, communications devices and peripheral equipment and to provide in-depth technical assistance to other technicians when called upon to assist in corrective maintenance and restoration activities.

Contract Requirements:

The technician must possess at least 8 years of experience installing or maintaining ESS equipment, to include video surveillance systems, access control systems, intercoms, intrusion detection systems, and security gates.

Experience specifically with Bosh, Identive, Lenel, Commend, Milestone and Aiphone are preferred.

Knowledge of OSHA general safety standards and the proper care and usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Requires 100% travel throughout the larger metro area and travel to neighboring states (up to 20%).

Required Education
Successful completion an associate's degree in a technical related field or in lieu of education requirement at least 12 years of related experience.
Required Years of Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 8 years experience installing or maintaining ESS equipment.

Additional Information
This is a Davis Bacon Act (DBA) position.

DOJ/GSA clearance - Candidate must be able to obtain a moderate suitability investigation prior to start work.

Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen Ensure candidate experience relates to that provided in job description and experience is clearly identifiable on resume for client review 3 Month assignment, based on worker performance, worker attendance and dependability and client business needs, could be moved to other assignments if will to travel Start date will be moved up as needed in order for selected candidate to start ASAP once on-boarding is completed/clear and final clearance is obtained. Be sure your candidates are available to start right away once on-boarding is complete. Worker will utilize Deltek for weekly time reporting. It is imperative that the registration is completed as soon as possible after receipt of registration invitation. Your attention to this process will eliminate delays in receipt of worker hours and invoice creation. There is a chance for some OT (overtime) as needed and must be approved by KBR supervisor.
