Responsibilities:

Design, prototype, test, and troubleshoot electrical circuits that include motors, sensors, batteries, microcontrollers, RF, analog, & digital components

Design Test Fixtures

Schematic and layout design using Altium Design Software

Support integration activities with other teams (Firmware, Software, Systems, Mechanical, Operations & Quality)

Circuit analysis and simulation

Use Python or MATLAB to analyze data.

Manage design tradeoffs on performance, risk, manufacturability, and cost.

Manage vendor relationships.

Lead technical reviews.

Lead activities related to IEC 60601 testing.

Write and perform engineering studies.

Write architecture documents.

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.

5+ years of design and development experience in electrical engineering

Experience with Design for PCB manufacturability, assembly, and testability (Most important)

Proficiency in using Lab Tools such as Oscilloscopes and Data Loggers

Experience with UART, USB, I2C, and SPI

Experience with high volume PCB design/manufacturing.

Experience with Microchip and Silicon Labs Microcontrollers

Experience with medical electrical safety standards (IEC 60601)

Experience with FMEA and Hazard Analysis

Experience with Fail-safe designs.

Experience with disposables.

Experience with wearable/portable devices.

Experience in a fast-paced work environment.
