Senior Electrical Designer

New opportunity available with our client for a Senior Electrical Designer.

The ideal candidate will have a 15 or more years of electrical design experience along with ability to independently lead new projects. Prior experience in energy or power sector would be a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and oversee the electrical design process for various projects, including but not limited to offshore oil & gas, onshore gas processing, hydrocarbon storage and transportation, chemical manufacturing, and refining industry projects.

Independently manage new projects from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative and cost-effective electrical design solutions.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers and engineers.

Review and approve electrical design drawings, specifications, and calculations.

Interface with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide technical expertise as needed.

Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and site visits as required.

Ensure that project deliverables are completed on time and within budget.

REQUIREMENTS

Associate's Degree in electrical engineering field preferred

Minimum of 15 years of experience in electrical design, with a focus on the energy or power sector.

AutoCAD software experience required.

PDMS software experience preferred.

Extensive experience in offshore oil & gas, onshore gas processing, hydrocarbon storage and transportation, chemical manufacturing, or refining industry projects.

Proven ability to lead small to medium-sized projects independently.

Proficiency in relevant electrical design software and tools.

Strong knowledge of industry codes, standards, and regulations.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
