Job Title: Senior Director of Sales Engineering

Overview: The Senior Director of Sales Engineering is a leadership position within the sales organization, responsible for leading a team of sales engineer managers and ensuring the technical aspects of the sales process are effectively managed. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Revenue requires a blend of technical expertise, sales acumen, and strong leadership skills to drive success in the sales engineering function.

Responsibilities:
•   Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 2-4 sales engineer managers.
•   Partner closely with the sales leadership team to align sales engineering efforts with overall sales objectives and strategies.
•   Act as a technical advisor to the Metropolis sales team, providing guidance on product capabilities, solutions architecture, and technical aspects of the sales process.
•   Assist in the qualification of sales opportunities by assessing technical fit and feasibility.
•   Engage directly with key customers to understand their technical requirements and challenges.
•   Collaborates with the Sales Enablement to create sales collateral that highlights value ofMetropolis' product offerings .
•   Present technical solutions and demonstrations to prospective customers, showcasing the value of Metropolis' products or services.
•   Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, serving as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle.
•   Develop a deep understanding of the company's products or services, as well as the competitive landscape and industry trends.
•   Provide feedback to product management and engineering teams based on customer needs and market insights.
•   Collaborate with the Product team to influence the roadmap priorities based on customerfeedback and sales insights.
•   Identify areas for improvement in sales tools, resources, and methodologies, and work cross-functionally to implement enhancements. Qualifications:
•   Bachelor's degree in Business Administrative, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
•   10+ years of experience in sales engineering or technical sales roles, with demonstrated success in leading and managing teams.
•   Strong technical background, with proficiency in understanding and articulating complextechnical concepts.
•   Proven track record of driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets.
•   Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
•   Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve results.
•   Strategic thinker with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive change. The anticipated base pay for this position is $190,000.00 to 235,000.00 annually. The actual base pay off ered is de term ined by a n umber of variables, includ ing, as app ropriate , the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of ed ucation attained , certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location of residence and/or place of employment. Base pay is one c omponent of Metropolis's total compensation package, which may also include access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, bonus plans and more.
