THE OPPORTUNITY
Cambridge Associates has been at the forefront of innovative investment portfolio strategies for over 40 years. Headquartered in Boston and with offices across the world, CA provides investment management services to clients around the globe. We are currently seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to join our Internal Audit team. The Internal Audit function at CA is independent, centralized, and provides objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve CA's operations across the enterprise. Internal Audit assists CA globally in accomplishing its objectives by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluating and improving the effectiveness of governance, risk management, internal control processes. The Senior Internal Auditor will report to the Senior Director of Internal Audit, and will work to further strengthen governance, risk management and internal control practices and culture at CA.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with Audit Management in the overall execution of the audit plan
Lead complex or sensitive audit engagements
Oversee the performance for the team members and their continuous development and training
Build and maintain senior business relationships to assist in the development, planning, and completion of the audit plan
Ensure the audit plan is agile and addresses the current risks facing the firm and industry
Confirm the audit scope addresses high priority risks and testing of key controls is efficient using data analytics and analysis when appropriate
Work with business partners to develop actions plan to address audit observations and ensure communication amongst key leaders across the organization
Oversee co-sourcing relationships as well as project audits
Ensure compliance with IA team's methodology through workpaper review and guidance
Develop and maintain effective management reporting summarizing audit activities and provide periodic updates to Senior Management
Represent the Internal Audit team on relevant senior-level committees and other governance forums
QUALIFICATIONS
15+ yearsaudit experience within the asset management or investment management arena focused on leading and managing a global audit plan
In-depth understanding of relevant regulatory requirements as well as deep understanding of financial products
Management skills, both in terms of running audits (both across and within regions) and leading teams
Ability to build and maintain credible relationships with senior management and strong networking capabilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the proven ability to write clear and concise findings, recommendations and reports
Strong analytical skills, with proven ability to lead audits/reviews on technical concepts
Ability to effectively multi-task and manage multiple competing deliverables within tight timeframes without compromising on quality of output
Experience with Open Pages preferred
