Role: Senior Data Modeler
Location: Onsite (San Antonio, TX)
Job Description:
- 8+ years of extensive experience in logical, and physical data modeling for transactional systems, data warehouses and data lakes, preferably with Erwin Data Modeler
- Experience with data modeling concepts (logical/physical/semantic, multi-dimensional models (star, snowflake), normalized/denormalized models) with a specific focus on Cloud DW like Snowflake, Oracle databases.
- Experience as an analyst in the financial industry, providing business analysis for Treasury/Accounting/Payments/Regulatory Reporting processes and applications.
- Experience with Erwin Data Modeling, Data cataloging, Data Lineage, Entity, Logical, Physical Data Modeling, Data mapping, Data dictionary & metadata design
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and contribute to the development of scalable and efficient data solutions
- Good verbal and written communication skills to build consensus with Product owners, Scrum masters, Solution leads, DBAs, Application owners
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain logical and physical data models based on high level designs for operational systems, foundation data and Information layers
- Collaborate with Information modeling team and product owners to identify key business entities, attributes and visualize their relationships.
- Organize work with business teams, enterprise architects, data engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver DDLs and solutions to the implementation teams
- Create a taxonomy/data dictionary to communicate data requirements that are important to business stakeholders
- Lead and participate in design workshops to facilitate an understanding of business data needs and how they are mapped to the data model
- Support review, sign-off and adoption of data models in collaboration with businesses owners, architecture, and delivery teams
- Work in an agile environment focused on the most important deliverable for our clients
