Position Description:

Applicants are permitted to work remotely from an at-home work site anywhere in the United States.

Collaborates with customers, data engineers, architects, and analysts to support the development and implementation of data store and access capabilities from legacy (on-premise systems), analytical (Cloud), and operational (Cloud) data platforms. Designs and implements data integration solutions in support of business requirements. Ensures the timeliness, accuracy, and integrity of data platforms for customer consumption.

Primary Responsibilities:

Enhances and translates software capabilities needs into technical requirements.

Analyzes information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system.

Analyzes information to determine, recommend, and plan computer software specifications on major projects.

Proposes modifications and improvements based on user need.

Develops software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.

Develops original and creative technical solutions to ongoing development efforts.

Establishes projects plans for projects of moderate scope.

Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Data Engineer (or closely related occupation) designing, developing, testing, and implementing Snow Scripts and Snowflake Tasks to enterprise analytics data lake platform.

Or, alternatively, Master s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Data Engineer (or closely related occupation) designing, developing, testing, and implementing Snow Scripts and Snowflake Tasks to enterprise analytics data lake platform.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise ( DE ) designing, developing, testing, and implementing enterprise analytics platforms into Snowflake using Control-M jobs, Apachi Nifi, Apache Kafka, JavaScript, SnowScript, and Snowflake Tasks; and deploying data migration conversion scripts using GIT, Bit Bucket, and Jenkins Core pipelines.

DE designing, developing, testing, and implementing Amazon Web Services (AWS), Radio Data System (RDS), and Aurora PostgreSQL Operational Real-time Data Storer; and gathering data from source systems using Apache Kafka, Apache Kafka Connectors, and Kafka streaming.

DE designing, developing, testing, and implementing AWS time series data store (Timestream); and gathering observability metrics from on-premise infrastructure using Prometheus, Load Balancers (AVI/F5), Apache Kafka, KSQLDB, and EMR/Flink.

DE performing data warehousing tasks using Snowflake data lake concepts on Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MS SQL server platforms using data engineering concepts.
