This position will be filled by a highly motivated Field & Service Mechanic with a passion for developmental flight test of a new and revolutionary Group 5 UAS, and experience performing maintenance test lead/manager responsibilities. You will work heavily with the Maintenance Lead and a wide spectrum of cross-departments to help build a team focused on solving hard problems and changing the industry forever. A Service Mechanic for Group 5 UAS is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and upgrades of the mechanical systems on large unmanned aircraft systems. This role requires a deep understanding of sophisticated systems, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that affect the performance and safety of the aircraft. The Test and Evaluation team at Anduril works across the entire spectrum of products and business lines, as well as all flight operations and test range management. Our team conducts full system level development testing, new production acceptance testing, sub-component qualification testing and much more. In short, if it involves test, we support it. WHAT YOU'LL DO Experience with Tool Control, FOD, HAZMAT, Training, Quality, and Security programs. Execute pre-flight and post-flight checks and services, ensuring readiness for operations. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain aircraft and subsystems including landing gear, fuel system, flight control, and propulsion. Coordinate with logistics teams to manage parts inventory and ensure availability of necessary maintenance supplies. Complete aircraft and equipment documentation, Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain site support equipment. Prioritize maintenance tasks in accordance with departmental needs. Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to junior service technicians and mechanics. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize maintenance procedures and workflows. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Able to travel as required (up to 50%) Must be able to obtain and hold a security clearance Must have been previously awarded a 5 or 7 Skill level USAF AFSC, Navy/Marine MOS discipline rating or an equivalent Airframe and Power Plant, FAA instrumentation license. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Willing to be multi-capable. Which shall include some electronics troubleshooting and repair Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a fast paced, challenging work environment Capable of standing, walking, bending, and climbing for extended periods. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS A&P with Inspection Authorization Developmental test experience Proficient with computer use (standard browser, word processing applications) Experience reading engineering drawings, blueprints and interpret/translate instructions to specific maintenance mechanics/technicians Experience with aircraft subsystems and components, preferably with Group 5 UAS or similar large aircraft US Hourly Range $36 - $50 USD The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
