Job Description

Turner and Townsend are looking for a Senior Construction Project Manager- Process Equipment to work on a large-scale ground-up Engineering-Procurement-Construction project that requires exceptional talent.

The product portfolio is expanding with never-built-before production lines, for a large EV automobile manufacturing facility.

Core Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance:

Review installation activities by the General Contractor and their trade partners/subcontractors to confirm alignment with defined specifications/design documents.

Report any issues/ efficiencies observed in the field to the Ford BOSK management team, in a clear reporting format.

Equipment installation support:

Operate as client team representative through the installation of process equipment within the facility

Review GC reports and schedules, identify opportunities or areas of concern

Review site progress and actual labor versus planned, report out findings

Identify issues/blockers on site and report back to wider team

Assist with development of potential issue mitigation strategies

Communicate regularly with client team lead on all items above

Productivity/benchmarking recording/reporting and analysis:

Review and understand the list of planned equipment installations (type, location, size, and duration)

Confirm with Process equipment team the structure (work breakdown structure or WBS) against which activities should be captured, recorded, and reported (e.g., unload, prepare, locate, install, test, commission)

Confirm with Process equipment team current structure of costs (actual costs) submitted as a part of the reimbursable payment process.

Review and agree with the Process equipment team the priorities in terms of information recording, reporting and analyses.

In line with agreed priorities, undertake field observations (time and motion analyses) to confirm the following for each equipment installation:Actual start and completion dates

Average labor force (crew size) for each activity against the define WBS for the operation - direct labor capture.

Support/management personnel for each operation (including supervision, spotters, clean up personnel etc.) - indirect labor capture.

Equipment type/count for each operation - equipment capture

Observed downtime/standing time for operations (if applicable)

Issues/opportunities observed during the process.

Provide, at a cadence to be agreed, simple reports capturing the data to allow review, comparison, and analyses (excel or similar - standard format for analysis)

Review with the process cost team reported/recorded costs for GC and their trade partners/subcontractors to determine alignment between observed activities and the reported/submitted applications for payment, assisting in identifying any significant variances.

Compile data from similar/comparable equipment items to provide analysis and benchmark data which can be used to forecast and analyze future installation activities.

Working with the Process equipment team, agree and communicate back findings to GC and their trade partners to identify potential efficiencies and/or recognize/acknowledge high performing teams in the field on site.
