The role of the Senior Commercial Operations Technician entails providing comprehensive support to the Commercial Department under the guidance of the Marketing Manager. Responsibilities encompass various tasks such as aiding in event coordination, maintaining spreadsheets and internal databases, updating and auditing the company website, aid in managing the Intranet via Sharepoint, and fulfilling additional assignments delegated by the Marketing Manager. Moreover, this position involves contributing to the smooth functioning of the BioSpectra Company Store.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning, coordinating and executing the details of major events, corporate promotional events and meetings.
  • Assist in creating and sending out event communications, event materials and signage.
  • Assist with maintaining and operating the company store which includes keeping track of employee points, and updating the inventory list.
  • Actively participate in event planning meetings, create task list and track assignments and coordinate with all event leaders to prepare plans.
  • Help source promotional material for the events and store.
  • Data input and management utilizing our CRM software (Salesforce) to help track leads, and organize sales data.
  • Compile all related data and statistics (Microsoft Excel) for the company store, company events, and sales support activities for the commercial division.
  • Assist with visitor hospitality such as hosting, welcome Signs and gift bags as necessary.
  • Assist with tradeshow event preparation as needed. Example: putting together literature packets, printing materials, packing suitcases.
  • Digital Online creation through managing BSI website via submissions, audits, internal reviews and miscellaneous web projects as assigned.
  • Assist with the BioSpectra Intranet through Microsoft Sharepoint.
  • Other related duties as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Entry Level
  • Candidates with some college experience preferred, although a working degree is also acceptable.
  • 1 year of related experience in Communications, Hospitality, Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is preferred but not required (Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator)
  • Adequate interpersonal skills, ability to work with a team
  • High School Degree Required
  • Reliable form of transportation, valid drivers license

Physical Requirements:
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to see and distinguish color
  • Bend, stoop, and carry
  • Repeating motion that may include wrists, hands, and fingers

Work Hours:
  • Non-Exempt Position; Shift 8am to 4:30pm.
  • Minimum of 40-45 Hours Week, or other agreed upon documented schedule.
  • Ability and willingness to work from all BioSpectra facilities.
