Job Title: Senior Cloud Engineer (SRE)

Location: Irvine, CA preferred. But we can also consider San Antonio, TX for one of them.

Onsite: Hybrid (at least 3 days a week)


Job Overview:

We are seeking two highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineers (SRE) to join our dynamic cloud operations team. The ideal candidates will possess in-depth experience in observability, operations automation, CI/CD processes, API integration, and security. This role is critical in enhancing the performance, reliability, and scalability of our cloud services.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement observability tools and practices to monitor the health and performance of cloud applications and infrastructure.
  • Resolve incidents and conduct problem management.
  • Lead operations automation efforts to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention using advanced scripting and automation tools.
  • Design and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless and continuous deployment of applications.
  • Integrate APIs to enhance system interoperability and streamline operations across multiple platforms.
  • Enforce security best practices throughout the cloud architecture to safeguard against potential threats.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and enhance cloud solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
  • Prepare runbooks of Operational activities.

Required Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in AWS cloud services.
  • Experience with monitoring and analytics tools such as Datadog.
  • Proficient in programming with Python.
  • Extensive knowledge of automation tools including Ansible and Terraform.
  • In-depth understanding of Kubernetes (K8s) for orchestration and management of containerized applications.
  • Strong understanding of Service Management/ITIL concepts (Incident, Problem, Change Management)

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Harness for CI/CD processes.
  • Familiarity with Confluent Kafka for real-time data processing.
  • Knowledge of Splunk, OpenTelemetry (OTel) for observability.
  • Experience with AWS API Gateway for creating, publishing, and securing APIs.
  • Proficiency in identity management and access control with Okta and OAuth.
  • Experience with data visualization and business intelligence tools like Power BI.
  • Certification in AWS
  • Certification in ITIL
