Job Description Overview:
The client is seeking a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to join the Client Cloud Architecture (Capital Markets) team.
Client Cloud Architecture team is designing and providing infrastructure as code and automation for the Software-as-a-Service division of Client. Our CapCloud SaaS platforms enables transformative business processing through a suite of award-winning, innovative solutions for capital markets and financial players of all sizes. Both platforms are rapidly growing, fully hosted and deliver the power and sophistication of our market-leading software applications as a service.
Responsibilities
- Build Gitlab Pipeline to provision, setup infrastructure (Various VM, Git Repo, OKE, NSG, Security list) and validate infra
- Build Gitlab Pipeline to manage fleet of cluster (OKE Version upgrade, Worker Node image upgrade, pod image upgrade).
- Build Gitlab Pipeline to manage fleet of environments (Upgrade monitoring stack, undeploy - deploy application).
- Work with the team to Integrate Validation/Sanity checks in Deployment Pipelines.
- Work with the team to improve Resiliency of Monitoring Stack (Grafana)
- Work with the team and Cloud Provider to improve Infrastructure monitoring (OCI to Open Telemetry Exporter)
- Work with the team to automate DR Pipelines.
- Create and document processes (Confluence, Draw.io, PowerPoint)
- Work hands-on with the Linux and Windows systems to install the monitoring solution, test it, and automate it for a rollout in production.
Skills and Requirements:
- Studies in Computer Science
- Expert knowledge in Kubernetes and Containers
- Expert knowledge in Python, Bash
- Expert Knowledge in writing GitLaB pipelines.
- Knowledge of PowerShell
- Experience in writing Terraform code
- Experience in building and running container images, buildkit/podman knowledge is a plus.
- Experience in monitoring (Grafana, Datadog, Opentelemetry)
- Basic understanding of application design pattern (REST, API)
- Cloud Experience (Networking, Compute )
- Ability to rapidly assess, analyze, and resolve complicated issues with limited initial information or direction and with varying degrees of ambiguity.
- Willingness to step in and troubleshoot issues and incidents with limited disruption or downtime.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Operations, Product Managers) in an Agile environment.
