Job Description and Duties The Senior Clinical Laboratory Technologist performs laboratory testing of specimens submitted to the Clinical Laboratory. The incumbent is competent, experienced, and has working knowledge of all areas of the Clinical Laboratory (Hematology, Chemistry, Bacteriology, Serology, etc.). Reports abnormal/critical value per facility policy. This position is not eligible for telework, this position is in person only. Working Conditions PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must possess and maintain sufficient strength (lift up to 50 lbs. when team lifting clients), agility, endurance and sensory ability to perform the duties contained in the duty statement. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Ongoing interaction and contact with clients, nursing staff, other disciplines, and the general public. Potential exposure to communicable diseases, blood-borne pathogens and other conditions common to a clinical nursing environment. May require sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time.
