Responsibilities Position Description: The Sr. Clinical Informatics Nurse Analyst is a member of the SCA Health Clinical Quality Informatics team and provides data analytics, project management, application, and end user support to the SCA Health community. Customer service, professionalism, critical thinking, and strong organizational skills are essential to this position. Must be proficient utilizing project management methodologies, data, and technology to support performance improvement and clinical best practices. The ability to work well under pressure with grace in a fast-paced environment is a necessity. Position Responsibilities: Provides data analytics, using a variety of tools and methods to maintain data integrity and reliability: Uses data management techniques to optimize data for analysis; applies analytic methods to convert data to actionable information to drive practice improvement (quality, safety, and cost) at SCA Health. Captures data that aligns with clinical workflows in structured and reliable ways to enable export for internal or external electronic reporting according to SCA Health HIPAA and data security policies. Combines data mining and data visualization techniques to identify and understand patterns, relationships, and/or outcomes. Synthesizes information/data, formulates a plan, and prioritizes action with clear goals, timelines, and measurable outcomes by deployment due dates. Develops, tests, implements, and evaluates new or modified informatics solutions, data structures, and decision-support mechanisms to support patient outcomes and surgical services processes. Facilitates pilot, trial, or test/validation workgroup(s) to ensure data integrity and accuracy. Develops, implements, and maintains operational reports and dashboards for executive leadership, ensuring resources are current, accurate, and provide critical insights to the organization. Growing knowledge of applicable clinical and technical vocabularies, languages, and taxonomies. Ability to quickly learn software platforms such as MS SQL Server, Tableau, and other BI tools. Utilization of Project Management methodologies to improve organizational performance and support positive end user experiences: Serves as a Project Manager, knowledgeable in project management framework(s), utilizing standardized project management methods and associated platforms to facilitate clinical informatics related projects. Adapts and utilizes change management techniques to meet evolving needs and priorities of the organization. Provides regular cadence of communication regarding project deliverables utilizing project plans. Identifies barriers to project success and communicates to appropriate team members. Promotes and supports optimal end user experiences: Works collaboratively with others whose decisions also influence end user experiences, such as IT professionals, vendors, regulatory bodies, and payors. Represents and advocates for clinical users in planning, implementation, evaluating, and maintaining optimal user experiences. Supports technology and data systems that enables end users to complete goals, aiming for interactions that are easy to use, beneficial, and valued. Develops, executes, and supports training/education plans, tools, and resources focused on an effective user experience involving data management, data visibility, and/or clinical applications. Facilitates pilot or trial workgroup(s) to ensure program, project, and/or data supports optimal end user experiences. Understands the needs of the individual clinical end user, anticipating requirements, and addressing their concerns proactively. Assess needs and requirements. Solicits and incorporates input from peers, customers, and management for process improvements. Identifies solutions to nonstandard requests and problems. Timely and service driven responses to end user inquiries and requests that align with SCA Health values. Clinical application support ensures that operational processes continue to run smoothly and end users continue to function as desired: Serves as application subject matter expert, knowledgeable in use and/or support of Clinical Applications within the Clinical Quality department. Manages and facilitates the alignment of clinical application/technology with clinical supported standards, best practices, HRO principles, policies, procedures, and utilization methodologies. Collaborates with varied stakeholder groups (SCA Health teammates and lane leaders, application vendor support, etc.) supporting application version updates and when managing resolution of clinical application requests and incidents. Qualifications Licensure & Certification: Current/Active Registered Nurse license, in good standing Nursing/ Health Informatics Certification preferred Required: Minimum 5 years of nursing experience Proficient in Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio) Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred: Perioperative Nursing and/or services Experience developing, implementing, and measuring Quality Improvement projects. NI-BC (Nursing Informatics - Board Certification) Working knowledge of SQL, visual analytics tools (E.g.: Tableau), Microsoft Visio, Project Management tools such as Microsoft Project and/or Smartsheet Experience in simplifying complex analytics concepts and insights into information that is consumed by clinical and non-clinical audiences. Experience flexing across a wide variety of markets utilizing variable research techniques, data science tools, and IT USD $95,000.00/Yr. USD $105,000.00/Yr.
