The Senior Category Specialist will support Global Directors and Category Managers Indirect and Direct procurement categories to learn categories, suppliers, processes and strategies.
• Engage with category managers to learn categories, suppliers, processes, and strategies
• Lead supplier order management for assigned suppliers globally including working with all entities on PO updates and providing forecasts to the supplier as needed
• Lead supplier priority of CPNs with assistance from divisions for assigned suppliers globally
• Lead supplier performance tracking and reporting for assigned suppliers globally and present out as needed.
• Develop knowledge of product for assigned suppliers globally
• Support Procurement Leadership & Global Category Managers on daily and on demand projects and activities as required
• Lead price analysis and cost increases with the intention of benchmarking best practices and pricing
• Analyze, pull data and reports with finance
• Assist and provide support to Global Category Managers in the following:
o RFX strategic souring strategy
o Contract negotiations
o Business reviews
• Make recommendation for process improvements from GCM to with Functional Excellence team
• Assist in deployment of procurement technology - i.e. Oracle
• Lead PRS and PAS procurement
• Bachelor's degree or equivelant years of experience, and 5+ years working within Procurement or
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Work, PowerPoint, etc)
