We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Analyst to join our thriving Engineering team. This position is ideal for a professional with a strong background in the engineering industry, particularly in the solar and power systems sector. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of sales tracking, implementation, electrical systems, and internet providers. This role requires a blend of skills including consulting, cost analysis, commercial banking, tax credits, mergers & acquisitions, and capital equipment. The candidate will also have a proven track record in prospecting, B2B sales, account management, research, and continuous improvement. This is a permanent position requiring at least 5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

As a Business Development Analyst, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Developing and implementing strategic business plans to expand the company's customer base and ensure its strong presence in the market.
2. Identifying and researching potential new business opportunities and markets.
3. Tracking sales, maintaining CRM data, and creating detailed reports on business development activities.
4. Conducting cost analysis to determine business growth and profitability.
5. Consulting on the design and implementation of solar and power systems.
6. Liaising with commercial banks and managing tax credit applications.
7. Leading or participating in mergers and acquisitions.
8. Managing company's capital equipment needs and procurement.
9. Prospecting for new clients and managing B2B sales.
10. Managing key accounts and building strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
11. Conducting market research to identify new business opportunities and potential threats.
12. Driving the continuous improvement of business development processes and practices.

Qualifications:

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the engineering industry.
2. Proven experience in solar, sales tracking, implementation, electrical and power systems.
3. Proficiency with internet providers, consulting, cost analysis, and commercial banking.
4. Extensive knowledge of tax credits, mergers & acquisitions, and capital equipment.
5. A strong track record in prospecting, B2B sales, and account management.
6. Excellent research skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
7. Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
8. A Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or similar advanced degree is a plus.
