Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

Direct hire opportunity with our manufacturing client for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst.

This position requires expertise in data delivery and administration using tools such as IBM Cognos and Power BI Reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data warehousing with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MS SQL, Server BI Studio) and ETL technologies (e.g., WhereScape, TimeXtender).
Responsibilities

Develop and deliver high-quality data reports and visualizations using IBM Cognos and Power BI.

Manage and administer data warehousing solutions using relational databases and ETL technologies.

Design, develop, and maintain data models, OLAP cubes, star schemas, and relational databases.

Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data solutions.

Provide expertise in financial reporting packages and support the financial reporting process.

Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all reporting and data analysis activities.

Continuously improve data processes and implement best practices in data management.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Business Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, OR a combination of education and 5 to 7 years of data warehouse/business intelligence experience.

Prior manufacturing industry experience highly preferred

Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, OLAP cubes, star schemas, and relational databases.

High proficiency in SQL and SQL Server databases.

Experience with financial reporting packages.

Proven ability to manage and administer data warehousing solutions.

Proficiency in using IBM Cognos and Power BI for data reporting and visualization.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
