We are looking for a Senior Business Development Lead to provide support to our business development efforts as part of the RSI Professional Services Organization. The role will report directly to the RSI President (Professional Services) and will work closely with the marketing/sales and finance teams in preparing proposals for clients. You will be responsible for estimating professional services delivery work, creating the delivery schedule, creating the staffing plan for delivery, and authoring and reviewing sections of the proposal. You will also be responsible for collaborating with the contracts and the assigned PM to create and negotiate the statement of work (SOW) documents associated with on contract growth and new client contracts.

  • Work with varying levels of leadership from staff through C-Level.
  • Estimate the professional services costs and document the basis of estimation
  • Collaborate with sales, contracts , and finance to create the winning proposal
  • Support the sales to delivery handoff and project start up

Position is hybrid, remote work with some limited travel to support proposal and demo work.

Specific job responsibilities might include:

  • Preparing and vetting both schedule and costs for proposals and CRs
  • Identifying and documenting risks and creating appropriate contingency costs to include in the financial model
  • Supporting staff planning based on the proposals and win probabilities
  • Authoring and reviewing proposal with a specific emphasis on risk and scope
  • Completing special projects and other duties as assigned

  • 10+ years in the delivery of complex technology-based professional services projects, with deep proven abilities in business development and proposals
  • Minimum 15 years in IT consulting focused on enterprise applications.
  • Agile SAFe certification or equivalent experience
  • Proven ability to engage Senior client executives as a trusted advisor and to articulate a transformative value proposition
  • Immediate authorization to work in the US
  • Skilled at working across an organization and at seeing challenges from multiple perspectives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at an executive level
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional influencing, persuasion, and motivational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment


  • Experience implementing large-scale software projects for Public Sector agencies, including Tax & Revenue, Child Support Enforcement and/or Unemployment Insurance Tax
  • Experience with the entire Microsoft Office Suite of tools, including MS Project
  • Bachelors' degree in Computer Science, CIS, MIS, or Business
