This Chicago-based medtech company needs a Senior Backend Engineer to finish a migration and architect + develop new features/integrations. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire role, with occasional in-office requirements in Chicago.
The company is still relatively small, and you'd be joining the platform team as a core contributor. You'll be helping the team complete a migration from Ruby into Node. As a Senior Engineer, you'll also be expected to make serverless architectural decisions with AWS and contribute to their React frontend. The ideal candidate would have experience in medtech or healthtech space and some familiarity with compliance/regulations.
Contract Duration: 6+ Months
Required Skills & Experience - 5+ years working with AWS
- 5+ years working with Node.js
- Experience with system/cloud architecture
- Experience mentoring junior developers
- B.S. or B.A. in Computer Science or a related field
