Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Associate to join our dynamic private equity team in Miami. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, deal execution, and portfolio management. This individual will play a crucial role in sourcing, evaluating, and managing investments, as well as supporting the growth and development of our portfolio companies.

Key Responsibilities:

Deal Sourcing and Evaluation:

  • Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities through market research, industry analysis, and networking.
  • Conduct detailed financial modeling, valuation analysis, and due diligence on prospective investments.
  • Prepare investment memoranda and present findings to the investment committee.

Transaction Execution:

  • Assist in the negotiation and structuring of investment deals.
  • Coordinate with legal, accounting, and other advisors during the transaction process.
  • Ensure timely and efficient execution of investment transactions.

Portfolio Management:

  • Work closely with portfolio company management teams to implement strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
  • Monitor financial and operational performance of portfolio companies, preparing regular performance reports.
  • Assist in the development and execution of exit strategies.

Relationship Building:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry experts, investment bankers, brokers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Represent the firm at industry conferences, events, and meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or CFA is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, management consulting, or a related field.
  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and valuation skills.
  • Proven experience in deal execution and portfolio management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proactive, self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus, given the regional focus on Latin America.
