We are seeking a future team member in the role of Senior Associate, Data Scientist to join our Technology Services Group, IT Asset Management team to work on our internally developed IT Asset Management toolset. This role is located in and will work a Hybrid schedule (2-3 days per week in-office required). Candidate must reside within a commutable distance to this work location, as we are unable to accommodate 100% virtual work arrangements. This HYBRID role is located in Pittsburgh, PA or Lake Mary, FL.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Partner with the team and other stakeholders to identify, design, build, test, deploy, and operate solutions for business objectives.
  • Rapidly prototype new ideas and analyse the results to determine the best course of action.
  • Analyse technology inventory & operational data and participate in AI/ML projects aimed at deriving maximum value from our vast data repository.
  • Participate in code reviews and aid in debugging, while continuing to contribute directly to the success of the project deliverables.
  • Ensure that our solutions are built in alignment with security and privacy design principles.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM degrees, or equivalent work experience with experience preferred in related fields. 2-3 years and Bachelor's degree in STEM programs with years of related experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
  • An all-around technologist that is energized by solving problems through both technology and process design.
  • A collaborative spirit, eager to work alongside a team of talented individuals to jointly develop solutions.
  • Someone who can run with a task and see it through completion despite organizational friction.
  • Familiarity with general IT infrastructure (servers, routers, switches, middleware, virtual machines).
  • Ideally, someone with experience in or awareness of software and hardware asset management.
  • Previous experience with Python, Java, Spring Boot, REST, Angular, and Oracle DB
  • An understanding of microservices architecture.
