We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated business-oriented scientist with several years of experience working with new technologies and customers to develop new methods and facilitate adoption of a new sample analysis service in the spatial biology field. The successful candidate will have advanced knowledge of spatial biology technologies and applications, in roles ranging from field applications support and client management. The Tissue Diagnostics business unit at Quanterix analyzes tissue samples as part of Quanterix Simoa blood protein analysis and clinical test development service, to support pharmaceutical drug trials and clinical applications. Candidates should be well versed in biomarker science, translational pathology, cancer biology and immunology, microscopy, and multispectral image processing and analysis. The role includes opportunities to interact with laboratory scientists, customers and collaborators, and reports to VP, Tissue Diagnostics at Quanterix. What You'll Do: As a founding member of a new team, work across functions to help drive service business development and market cultivation, with a focus on pharma clients interested in pairing blood protein testing with tissue analysis. Application development activities will include working with the Divisional VP to create a service offering roadmap, based on market intelligence and customer intimacy. Application development activities will also include working with early customers and important collaborators and partners to fully realize value of the analysis service, gather feedback to guide further development, provide content and perspective to marketing functions to create sales collateral, etc. to gain customer enthusiasm and stimulate word-of-mouth demand. Represent Quanterix at scientific, medical, regulatory, business and other professional meetings. Model and strengthen culture of high impact collaboration, working cross-functionally within Quanterix. What We'll Expect From You: Entrepreneurial drive to succeed - a high degree of self-motivation, with a proven track record for business expansion. Exceptional skills for working with and supporting customers and collaboratively accomplishing client projects. An advanced scientific degree (MSc, PhD, or equivalent) in biological science/engineering/computer science/informatics. 5 years of field application support, applications or pre-sales scientific support experience in life sciences with domain expertise in spatial biology applications and technologies Excellent written and oral communication, collaboration and negotiation skills, with proven ability to be assertive while building productive cross-functional relationships; experience managing multiple stakeholders and resolving conflict within teams. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment. Ability to work effectively, efficiently and independently in a fast-paced and dynamic innovationoriented work environment. Ability to travel up to 10%, both domestically and internationally Background in pathology, quantitative immunofluorescence, oncology/immune-oncology and experience working in a clinical trial setting is preferred.
