Job Title: Application Support Specialist
5 days on site in Morristown, NJ location
Job Description:
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to manage expectations, address issues, requests, and changes via the Service Now ticketing system.
- Install, maintain, and monitor Client Service Applications (Windows/Virtual Machines) to ensure optimal performance.
- Mentor Application Support Specialists on best practices and support-related tasks to enhance team expertise.
- Proactively manage incidents, lead root cause analysis efforts, and debug files related to application usage.
- Provide support for Valley systems across datacenters and cloud environments.
- Ensure VNB applications are maintained to support service delivery, resilience, and uptime performance.
- Conduct quality assurance testing of new application software releases and patches before production deployment.
- Collaborate with product vendors to support both SAAS and on-premises systems.
- Perform capacity planning, monitoring, and maintenance of designated application systems, identifying trends and issues.
- Drive continuous service improvement initiatives to enhance team service levels.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for application systems, including reviews, runbooks, knowledge documents, and improvement recommendations.
- Fulfill any other duties as assigned by management.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, information technology, information systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years related technical application support experience, primarily in banking and/or financial services.
