SENIOR ANALYST - FINANCIAL PLANNING

Our client is a pioneering tech/manufacturing company located in North Haven. We are seeking a seasoned Senior Analyst to bolster the Finance department. As a key member of the team, this position will be instrumental in overseeing and enhancing the financial and accounting operations, with a particular focus on project management. Reporting directly to the Controller, you will leverage your analytical prowess and communication skills to ensure the seamless execution of financial processes and compliance standards.

What you'll do as an Senior Analyst- Financial Planning:

  • Generating weekly, monthly, and quarterly project reports for Program Managers and Project Leaders, along with conducting ad-hoc financial analyses.
  • Facilitating the setup and maintenance of projects in our ERP system.
  • Upholding compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Federal Government regulations such as FAR/DFARS.
  • Collaborating with Program Managers to monitor and manage cost performance against contractual objectives.
  • Contributing to our financial forecasting process and preparing all requisite financial reports for government contracts.
  • Assisting in the documentation process for external audits and government billings.
  • Driving cross-functional collaboration to enhance reporting, forecasting, and budgeting processes.

What you'll need to succeed as a Senior Analyst- Financial Planning:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or finance (CPA/MBA desired but not required).
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting/finance, preferably within project management and government contracting.
  • Unanet and Advanced Excel preferred.
  • Knowledge of government accounting standards, contracts, and regulations.
