The Crown Is Yours

The Corporate Development & Strategy team collaborates closely with DraftKings' Executive Leadership Team to drive the company's strategy, with a strong emphasis on executing Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A). This team is responsible for identifying growth opportunities to bring top-tier companies, talent, and technology to DraftKings. We are seeking a Senior Analyst to join our expanding Corporate Development & Strategy team to support the identification, development of business cases, due diligence, structuring, and execution of M&A opportunities. In this role, you will gather and analyze market data from various sources, generate insights, and provide strategic recommendations to our Executive Leadership Team.

What you'll do as a Senior Analyst, Corporate Development & Strategy
  • Identify, research, and recommend companies, technologies, and capabilities for DraftKings to evaluate for potential M&A.

  • Support all aspects of the M&A process, including business case preparation, strategic/financial analysis, valuation, competitive analysis, due diligence, and post-merger integration planning.

  • Perform comprehensive and in-depth industry research and develop competitive intelligence summaries to help inform strategic fit for DraftKings.

  • Track potential and current acquisition targets, maintain internal databases and prepare internal M&A target reporting.

  • Support the planning process for strategic projects and business initiatives (e.g., assessing new products, new platforms, new verticals, and other potential growth opportunities) and serve as a cross-functional resource to drive go-to-market strategies for new ventures.

  • Ability to work effectively across functional teams and levels of seniority to refine strategic recommendations and build consensus.

What you'll bring
  • 2+ years of experience in relevant roles, such as Investment Banking, Corporate Development, Management Consulting, Private Equity, or Venture Capital.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Analytics, Accounting, or similar discipline preferred.

  • Proficiency in Excel modeling (including forecast development and valuations) and PowerPoint.

  • Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to apply valuation techniques and concepts.

  • Ability to work effectively across functional teams and levels of seniority to refine strategic recommendations and build consensus.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and work unsupervised in the absence of clear guidelines

  • Prior experience or knowledge of the sports, media, entertainment, gaming, or technology, sectors is a plus.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $110,000.00 - $135,000.00, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
