We are on the hunt for an enthusiastic and dedicated Consultant as a Senior Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our dynamic finance team for 6-8 weeks. With the right person this role could become a home. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable processes and functions in a professional and knowledgeable manner. This role requires a deep understanding of accounts payable procedures, intercompany transactions, and deal wuth complex payables. They will possess excellent communication skills, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the full cycle of accounts payable process including invoice processing, payment processing, and expense report processing.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, checks, expense reports, credit memos, and payment transactions.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are accounted for correctly and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve AP processes, propose and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Prepare monthly reports and assist with month-end closing activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, relevant industry regulations, and accounting procedures.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations.
  • Train and mentor junior accounts payable staff.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role, preferably within the finance industry.
  • Proven experience with intercompany transactions.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with accounting software, preferably QuickBooks.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and mentor junior staff.
  • Knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts, and corporate procedures.
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner.
