Job Details

The Senior Accountant will report directly to the CFO and collaborate closely with the Operations team to facilitate all financial operations at our client. This role necessitates recent experience in full-cycle government contract accounting, along with a strong grasp of GAAP and familiarity with various federal contract types. Essential qualities include meticulous attention to detail, a positive and adaptable demeanor, and effective cross-departmental collaboration skills.

Responsibilities associated with this position may include, but are not limited to:

Utilizing QuickBooks, Nexonia timekeeping, and Excel in a DCAA compliant environment for all finance department activities.
Establishing projects and employees in systems, allocating CLINS/LCATS, hours, and rates based on contract cost and pricing data.
Assisting in the creation and submission of contract invoices via Wide Area Workflow and other government platforms, and monitoring A/R reports to ensure prompt payment, with collections efforts as necessary.
Verifying and recording A/P for various contracts, task orders, and company operations.
Supporting bi-monthly payroll processes, including employee reimbursements, compensation and benefits adjustments, bonus payments, and PTO balance tracking.
Contributing to monthly book closures, including reconciliations of all accounts (bank, payroll, credit cards, etc.), prepaid expense amortization, fixed asset depreciation, revenue and expense posting, and other related tasks as directed.
Compiling monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, contract-specific profit & loss statements, and others.
Assisting with quarterly, annual, and periodic audit obligations.
Aiding in RFP and contract processes, including pricing proposal assistance, thorough contract review and interpretation, and maintaining proper documentation, agreements, and insurance policies for subcontractors.
Assisting with year-end tax documentation, including 1099 and W2 report issuance, and other assigned tasks.
Supporting special projects as required.

Must have:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
5-8 years of experience in full cycle accounting with at least 4 in government contract accounting
Must be Clearable
