Position Title: Senior Accountant Job Location: FBI Locations in Washington, D.C. Security Clearance Required: Top Secret with SCI Eligibility Job Overview The Senior Accountant, supporting the FBI Accounting and Technology Section, maintains ongoing financial reconciliations and closing out of account balance activity across all financial management areas, including advances and prepayment, reimbursable agreement authority, Undelivered Order (UDOs), liabilities, and other areas as necessary. Job Responsibilities
• Serve as a liaison with financial management staff across the FBI to research and reconcile activity and validate adherence to Treasury Financial Manual accounting.

• Facilitate data analysis and results, such as Quarterly Accounts Payable accruals, Property Plant and Equipment (PP&E) reconciliations, and Governmentwide Treasury Account Symbol Adjusted Trial Balance System (GTAS) financial reporting.
• Manage analysis of accounts payable activity quarterly through analytical and invoice sampling procedures and determine an appropriate algorithm to support these accounting procedures with high accuracy.
• Provide direct management over monthly analysis and validation of prior-year obligation adjustment activity. Job Requirements
• Must have a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college with eight (8) years or more accounting-related work experience in governmental accounting and financial management. The educational requirement may be waived if the candidate has ten (10) or more years of experience.

• Must have eight (8) or more years of working experience in dealing with the full cycle of accounting transactions and internal controls including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas.

• Must have eight (8) years of specialized experience with Standard General Ledger accounting principles.

• Must have eight (8) years of specialized experience and knowledge in the preparation of federal financial statements.

• Must have seven (7) or more years of specialized experience in both lending and providing technical direction to complex accounting challenges and providing recommendations and solutions that are legal and audible.

• Must have seven (7) or more years of specialized experience in Fund Balance with Treasury reconciliation of other major financial statements control accounts.

• Must have experience developing and presenting solutions and deliverables as well as delivering training materials and/or assessments to improve business processes and controls.

• Must possess a current financial certification such as Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), etc.
