Our company is seeking a Senior Accountant that will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of all financial statements by preparing and recording asset, liability, revenue and expense entries in accordance to GAAP standards, reconciling all accounts and compiling accurate analytical statements to Management. This role will have a heavy hand in inventory accounting as well FP&A in addition to standard Senior Accountant functions.


Senior Accountant Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintain monthly closing schedule and prepare journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation
  • Perform accounts reconciliations on all balance sheet accounts, identifying and correcting reconciling items as needed
  • Daily treasury management and recording bank transactions
  • P&L variance and trend analysis
  • Analyze inventory discrepancies and partner with operations to adjust inventory as needed
  • Prepare bank and equity compliance documents within strict deadlines
  • Lead and coordinate annual financial audit
  • Ensure all tax compliance in multi-state and jurisdictions including business licensure and sales and use tax (in working with Avalara)
  • Assist in preparation of Board of Directors presentations
  • Spearhead process improvement projects
  • Other duties as assigned.

Senior Accountant Skills/Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 3+ years of Accounting experience required
  • Previous Public Firm Accounting Experience, NetSuite ERP experience highly preferred, Avalara AvaTax or CertCapture experience preferred
  • Required competencies: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, ability to work independently, financial management, technical capacity, thoroughness, FP&A and communication proficiency including escalation scenarios that may impact day-to-day operations or the financials.
