Senior Accountant - Remote Flexibility
About the Company and Opportunity:
- Our client is a long standing non-for-profit organization Silver Spring, MD whose goal is to help those who are facing discrimination.
- Due to vacancy, the client is looking for a temporary Senior Accountant.
- Position is 100% Remote.
- Duration: on-going
- Pay: $35-38 per hour depending on experience , Mon-Fri, 8:00a - 5:00p.

Overview of the Senior Accountant role:
- Maintain the GL in Solomon
- Coordinate the month-end close
- Reconcile bank and other GL accounts
- Reconcile and create related journal entries for:
- the interfund/intercompany accounts
- indirect charges
- prepayments for rent, fringes, insurance, and workers' compensation
- Ad hoc projects and reporting
Preferred Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Specialist:
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Nonprofit experience is preferred
- Solomon experience is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication
