We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Accountant with a strong background in the technology industry to join our dynamic finance team. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our company. You will be responsible for preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned. This position requires a high level of proficiency with GAAP, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification, and at least three years of experience in a similar role.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
  • Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
  • Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, or other tax requirements.
  • Report to management regarding the finances of the organization.
  • Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts.
  • Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.
  • Advise management about issues such as resource utilization, tax strategies, and the assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
  • Provide internal and external auditing services for businesses or individuals.
  • Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, develop, or maintain solutions to business and financial problems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Proficiency with GAAP.
  • Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles.
  • Excellent computer skills; experience in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.
  • Able to analyze financial records and transfer information.
  • Data analysis and forecasting skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
