We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Accountant to join our Manufacturing team. This position plays a key role in the financial management of the company, including maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with budget and close processes, conducting internal audits, and maintaining accounts payable documentation. You will have the opportunity to work in an exciting, fast-paced environment where your work will have a significant impact on the company's success.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, statements, and projections.
  • Perform variance analyses and prepare account reconciliations.
  • Assist with financial and tax audits, and document and monitor internal controls.
  • Participate in budget preparation and implementation.
  • Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process.
  • Provide input into department's goal setting process.
  • Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule.
  • Support month-end and year-end close process.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in SAP and advanced MS Excel.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office and Frontier.
  • Knowledge of fixed asset control and depreciation.
  • Consolidation experience.
  • Cost accounting experience, material and labor variance reporting.
  • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience with pivot tables, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation, and month-end close.
  • Ability to prepare auditable account reconciliations, process and calculation of transactions.
