Senior Accountant

Job description: Family Office, Senior Accountant We are looking for a detail-oriented, self-motivated team player to join the Family Office Accounting Team. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles. Given the various analysis and relevant reporting requirements for the Family Office, the candidate should excel in data management and be well organized.
The senior-level accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting and treasury functions, including administrative tasks for multiple entities. Responsibilities: Work closely with the Tax Director and Director of Accounting to manage workflow/deliverables for accurate and timely filing reporting requirements Assist in ensuring proper controls, policies, and procedures are in place Manage and perform cash management functions for the Family and affiliated entities Supervision of payroll and employee benefits for the PEO Prepare interest calculations for notes in accordance with the terms of the agreements Supervision of Accounts Receivable and Payable processes (including intercompany charges between affiliated entities) Supervision of the monthly bank and brokerage accounts to statements reconciliations for all Family Office entities (including investment LLCs/LPs, corporations, real estate partnerships, trusts, and private foundations) Prepare monthly schedules and other ad-hoc management reporting Review and maintain the general ledgers and journal entries for Corporations, Trusts, Individuals, Investment Partnerships and Private Foundations Preparation and compilation of year-end work papers with supporting schedules and tax information for the tax return preparation process

Qualifications: CPA a MUST Must live local to the location (on site) Skills and Qualifications: 4-6 years of experience in public accounting/tax and high-net-worth individuals Strong communication skills, both written and oral, including interpersonal skills Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Access and TValue a plus) Knowledge of GAAP and accounting software (MRI a plus) Ability to work independently yet in a collaborative manner Highly analytical and organized with a high attention to detail Ability to multi-task and prioritize deliverables to meet competing deadlines
Education: Bachelors or Masters in Accounting CPA required Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role Strong proficiency in account reconciliation, financial management, and financial analysis Familiarity with technical accounting standards Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Benefits: Competitive salary based on experience level Health insurance benefits package Retirement savings plan options Professional development opportunities
