We are currently on the hunt for a talented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of accounting information and will bring an analytical eye. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional who thrives in a bustling and evolving environment and is well-versed in working closely with senior management.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing all aspects of the general ledger
  • Providing monthly, quarterly and year-end analyses
  • Preparing general ledger entries by maintaining records and files, reconciling accounts
  • Coordinating or assisting with the budget process
  • Researching accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Preparing and consolidating financial statements
  • Establishing and maintaining internal controls
  • Balancing subsidiary accounts by authenticating, preparing, and inputting entries into a consolidated system
  • Analyzing information and options by developing spreadsheet reports and verifying information
  • Developing and implementing accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes
  • Answering accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required
  • CPA is a nice to have.
  • 3+ years of experience in public accounting or related field
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Proven ability to perform strategic planning and priority setting for a finance department
  • Proficient in using software for accounting, data analysis, and financial forecasting
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Ability to work closely with a senior management team
  • Experience with creating financial statements and knowledge of legal and company accounting regulations
  • Experience with month-end close, financial analysis, journal entries, and variance analysis
